Working under the guidance of a dedicated line manager, you will gain the technical knowledge and skills you need to succeed through a combination of real, practical experience and formal training. You can expect on-the-job training, formal development opportunities and dedicated mentoring.   

What could your day-to-day-role look like?

On our Digital Marketing programme, you’ll learn how to plan, create and run online campaigns using a wide range of digital tools and social media platforms. Working as part of a marketing team, you’ll take responsibility for specific tasks within a campaign while studying towards your digital marketing degree. You’ll build strong skills in areas like content creation, campaign planning and understanding customer behaviour. 

As you progress, you’ll learn how to lead digital marketing strategies by spotting opportunities, using channels such as websites, email and social media, and applying analytics to measure performance. This apprenticeship blends real work experience with academic learning, covering topics such as customer insight, campaign optimisation, business analytics and organisational management. It’s ideal for anyone looking to develop advanced digital skills and build a career in a fast‑moving, creative industry.  

What support will you receive during your apprenticeship? 

Your line manager will develop an induction plan to ensure you’re equipped with the foundations to get started. They’ll provide an environment in which you can thrive and will provide ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship. They will carefully 

construct bespoke goals for you to work towards. You can expect regular one-to-one meetings with your line manager where you’ll receive coaching and guidance. 

  • You’ll have the opportunity to build a vast network of stakeholders from across the business who you’ll be able to learn from and will encourage you on your apprenticeship journey. 
  • We offer a multitude of leading learning and development opportunities covering a huge array of topics delivered via in-person training courses and online portals.

Application process

  • Stage 1 – Online Application 

    Complete the online application form and tell us about your motivation for choosing Unilever and your selected apprenticeship programme.

  • Stage 2 – Online Assessments 

    Situational judgement test which gives you realistic hypothetical scenarios where you will be asked to identify the most appropriate response. You will also complete a numerical reasoning assessment, an online test that measures your ability to interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data and verbal reasoning assessment an online test that measures your ability to understand and evaluate written information.

  • Stage 3 – Video Interview 

    Candidates who perform well in the online assessments will be invited to complete a video interview.

Programme details

Location:    

Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days required weekly at our Kingston office, with 1 day spent at university, although this may vary depending on role responsibilities and line manager discretion.

Requirements: 

Have at least 5 GCSEs including English Language and Maths at grade 4 or above. Have or are predicted 3 A-levels at BCC grades or equivalent.
