Working under the guidance of a dedicated line manager, you will gain the technical knowledge and skills you need to succeed through a combination of real, practical experience and formal training. You can expect on-the-job training, formal development opportunities and dedicated mentoring.    

What could your day-to-day-role look like?

This apprenticeship will help you build and improve a wide range of business skills, while also giving you a simple introduction to project management. Throughout the programme, you’ll learn the key knowledge, skills and behaviours that will help you succeed in the workplace. 

In this role, you’ll work with others to collect and handle data, usually with support from a senior colleague or different teams across the business. Your main purpose is to help the business make strategic decisions by analysing different types of data, combining information from various sources, and sharing your findings in a way that makes sense to your audience. You’ll also learn how to work safely and responsibly with data by following legal and ethical guidelines. Day-to-day, you’ll interact with lots of people, including team members, managers, customers and both internal and external suppliers. 

What support will you receive during your apprenticeship? 

Your line manager will develop an induction plan to ensure you’re equipped with the foundations to get started. They’ll provide an environment in which you can thrive and will provide ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship. They will carefully construct bespoke goals for you to work towards. You can expect regular one-to-one meetings with your line manager where you’ll receive coaching and guidance. 

  • You’ll have the opportunity to build a vast network of stakeholders from across the business who you’ll be able to learn from and will encourage you on your apprenticeship journey.

Application process 

  • Stage 1 – Online Application 

    Complete the online application form and tell us about your motivation for choosing Unilever and your selected apprenticeship programme.

  • Stage 2 – Online Assessments 

    Situational judgement test which gives you realistic hypothetical scenarios where you will be asked to identify the most appropriate response. You will also complete a numerical reasoning assessment, an online test that measures your ability to interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data and verbal reasoning assessment an online test that measures your ability to understand and evaluate written information.

  • Stage 3 – Video Interview 

    Candidates who perform well in the online assessments will be invited to complete a video interview.

  • Stage 4 – In person discovery centre 

    In person discovery centre immersing yourself in new business challenges and an interview.

Programme details

Duration :

Between 1 year and 3 months to 1 year and 6 months 

Requirements: 

Have or are predicted a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English Language and Maths at grade 4 or above.    

Locations Available:

Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days required weekly at our Kingston or London Blackfriars office.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.     

What can I do?     

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.
